Trash Collection & Recycling Services

Many localities require recycling, while others merely encourage it. Separate pick up of yard waste (especially autumn leaves) is available. Yard waste bags usually cost extra; leaves are collected curb side for free.

If you have larger, personal item or appliances you wish to dispose of, please remember others in the Miami Valley may be able to use them—Goodwill, The Salvation Army, Veterans of Foreign Wars, etc. Such gifts may be tax-deductible.

One of our most innovative local programs is McMURF—the Montgomery County Material Reuse Facility which offers your usable but no longer needed items (everything from computers to paint to wood to furniture) to local non-profits for free.
