Giving back to the community has always been a big part of Wendy Rodgers' life. Holding current positions as a realtor and member of the WE Team at Irongate, President/CEO of the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce, and President-elect of the Kiwanis Club, she devotes most of her time helping others.
When she moved back to Ohio in 2018 at the encouragement of her best friend of 40 years and eventual business partner, Ellen Henderson, she didn't know anyone. With no sphere of influence or support system, she turned to the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce for help. The purpose of the Chamber is to link local businesses with the community. Sherry Stipp, of Baker, Cook, & Stipp Team, is one such agent. She has been an investor of Sueño, a contemporary Mexican restaurant that is opening up in downtown Dayton, for a year and a half. The restaurant celebrates the traditions and flavors of Mexico's current culinary scene and is led by an award winning Chef. Sueño is owned by The Idea Collective, a national hospitality firm who brought subterranean cocktail lounge Tender Mercy to Dayton last year, in the process earning critical acclaim as one of Esquire Magazines "Best Bars in America: 2021".
